02 Sep Camp Watercolor Sketch
In between teaching and preparing for the Clothesline Festival (it’s happening THIS weekend!) D and I spent the long weekend in the great outdoors in upstate NY with his family.
Being at the family camp was a great break. We had a cook out for lunch, sat around in the sunshine, and as a caravan the whole family climbed onto 4-wheelers and we explored the woods around camp. The final round of fun was fishing at nearby pond. I took this opportunity to create a quick watercolor sketch (above) of all the nieces with their Dads fishing.
D and his sneaky camera caught me in the act of painting!
4-wheelers make great art tables too! It was delightful to be outside painting. I truly love it and its becoming more and more of a natural habit to stop and pick up my brushes.
How did you spend the long weekend?
